I tried to do a part transfer from my capital one card (34% apr) last night to my natwest card (17% apr). But everytime I put in the capitalone card number the natwest site said it was invalid.
Is capitalone owned by Royal Bank of Scotland by any chance?

I don't believe there is any link between the two companies. You might have to give Natwest a call0

That's interesting, because last week I tried to transfer a balance by phone from my Bhs card (issued by Barclaycard, int 23%-odd) TO my Capital One card, which was offering me 15 months' interest-free credit, and the man on the phone said the Bhs card number wouldn't go through!
It was the last day the offer was available too, I'd kept forgetting about it as life got in the way.

Def not a link between RBS and Capital One.0

Natwest would not accept an egg money card for a transfer online but would accept an mbna one.
I know there is no link between Citibank and Natwest.
Looks like a system glitch to me.We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
