"Changes to services and pricing
We are making some changes to our prices and products. These changes are summarised below:
May 2011 changes
Some of our call charges change on 1st May but please note that they don't affect any calls (e.g. to 01, 02, 03 numbers, of 60 minutes or less) that are included in your package.
Chargeable calls that currently incur an 11.14p call connection charge will incur a charge of 12.5p. The cost of a daytime call to 01, 02, 03, 0870 and 0845 numbers is changing to 7.6p per minute.
From 1st May, TalkTalk Line Rental will be £12.60 per month. That's £1.30 per month cheaper than BT's recently-increased pay-monthly line rental. The price of Boosts will increase by 1 penny per month.
From 3rd May, calls to 118888 will cost 65p per call, plus £1.41 per minute"

Astonishing. 2 days after BT's price increases - and identical connection charge and daytime calls increases.
Who says it's not a cartel?Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
