Hi weeowens, thanks for the comps.
I noticed something yeasterday on the Asda comps, if you fill in your details first, the number of comps available automatically change to what you haven't yet entered, very helpful! I don't think we need to worry about duping the previous months now. I tested this theory by putting in my hubbys details instead of mine as he never enters them and there was a full list, changed it back to mine and they all disappeared again and left just the ones I'm not interested in :beer:Cheers Nicky63
Thanks for the clarification.I tried to explain this on last months comp but you've done it so much better than me :-)
Just remember not to clear your cookies though.
makes no odds that i have or have not cleared cookies. i certainly have not cleared them since i last looked at the entry form last week? or whenever the latest comp on there i thanked went on.
it loads with my details still filled in and every single comp on the form is available for me to tick, down to selecting dress and shoe size for that comp.....(unless they are repeating those comps again with nerw end dates and thats why they can be ticked again?)
if i refresh the page everything is greyed out until i fill in my details and then all comps are once again available to be ticked.
not sure how you guys are getting it to remember from one thread to the next what you have entered
the hovis one is the only one thats new i take it as its the only one mentioned in this thread?
i find this so confusing :rotfl: between multiple threads and all different end dates :rotfl:
eta: not saying do anything or change anything...merely pointing out that it doesnt work for me! so still be careful to double check over the previous thread (or two?) that your not entering any again.
eta again, just gone and entered the winnie the pooh camera comp, shut the form down, gone back in entered the canon oven comp....camera comp was missing, but shut down and open form a third time oven comp is missing and camera comp is back and available for ticking. without going to any other webpages in between, or leaving the asda site.
so the second time i reload the form it saves the previous cookie, but that gets overwritten when i load the form a third time it seems.0 -
Just deliberately tried to enter a second time and it told me "you have already entered today come back and try again tomorrow". So definitely daily. That's often a good way to check...0

Sorry only just seen previous similar reply. Too much gardening gone to my head!0

Not always a good idea. Sometimes the second entry goes through and they disqualify all entries.0 -
Back after a long rest lol

Cheers for the comments purplecatlover.I can see that some feel that it should remain posted as it is & some would like it be altered so each comp is on a new thread.I'll add a poll to this & hopefully we can go from there.A bit of a blunt tool I know.Regardless of the outcome I ,& I hope others, would be willing to abide by it in future postings from the Asda magazine.0

Just because I like to be difficult weeowens
and only because you asked - I'd actually be somewhere between your first 2 options (nearer the 2nd but can see that doesn't make much sense when you can enter them all from one form).
I struggle a bit to know what I've entered and don't use the same PC all the time (I comp in my lunchbreak, and when I'm visiting my parents) so cookies are useless to me.
Best way for me would be a regularly updated thread where you just add the new comps each time and I can check up to see what I've already thanked OR new threads for each comp.
And I know you give the link to the last comp post but I'm a weirdo and I'm only on a netbook most of the time so it's easier for me to check up and down a thread than to go between two posts because I can't fit 2 readable windows on my tiny screen.
But that's just me, and like I said have only commented because you made the poll so please don't get upset with me for commenting there's nothing hurtful intended I promise

Hi beffff,
No problem at all.I'm a bit confused though, easily done I know.
Re:" Best way for me would be a regularly updated thread where you just add the new comps each time and I can check up to see what I've already thanked OR new threads for each comp"
Isn't that very much how I post the now or do you mean every comp, even the first posted few,to have a seperate post.Often Asda list about six comps at the start then add comps as the month passes. The added comps get a new post, within the thread currently.
Or do you mean one long thread with all the comps on that runs all year?0
