The GPS (which your San Fran does have) is just a piece of hardware that allows your phone to pin point its position on earth and does not cost any money to run. The maps however, that are needed for navigation (google maps in this case) cannot be stored on your phone and will need to be downloaded on the fly which will cost you loads of money if roaming. What you need is a software that would also keep the maps stored on your phone (and not in the cloud) like co-pilot which will alow you to navigate when your phone's internet (mobile data) is completely switched off. I am yet to find another useful offline navigation software for Android other than copilot.Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0
