Try MegaBus (it's a train service) from London Waterloo to Exeter St Davids from £10 each way on those days, with the odd £6 fare. Then get some advance tickets from Exeter St Davids to St Austell from £5.50 each way.
Therefore a return from £27 but more likely £31, just make sure you give yourself plenty of time to make your connections at Exeter, at least a 15-30 min connection time for late trains.Whoa! This image violates our terms of use and has been removed from view0 -
Can be done by train using Advance Singles...
out = £24,
back = £34.
total = £58.
But maybe try Megatrain...
Waterloo to Exeter St Davids can be done for £10.00, and Exeter St Davids to Waterloo can be done for £6.00 on your dates.
Couple that with Advance Singles from Exeter St.D to St Austell at £18.00, and the reverse trip at £6.00.
So total return could be as cheap as £40.00.
Oh dear... late again.0 -
thanks but where do i bu the advance fares from cannot see it on the megabus site0

Best buy from a Train Companies' website as there's normally no fees attached.
First Great Western as you will be using there railways they might have a deal on.
ArrivaXcountry might get a discount by using discount code 'offer25'.
East Coast no discount but better search engine.
Redspottedhanky good if you've got any tesco's clubcard vouchers as £1 clubcard voucher = £3 train voucher.
Or just go to the train station with your preferred train times/dates and buy there.Whoa! This image violates our terms of use and has been removed from view0 -
Lollol, you really have to be quick when buying Advance tickets or Megatrain tickets.
Two days have passed since you asked your question and already there are now no £6 megatrain tickets on your dates between Exeter and London.
The cheap tickets are on quotas and once they're sold, that's it.0
