O2 Broadband & Fredrickson's Int

Hi, can someone help? I left O2 about 6 months ago and today have recieved a letter from Fredrickson's saying that I have ignored their letters and they are passing the matter to the solicitors. I rang them and they explained I owe £79 which I have never owed them. O2 have never been in touch with me and the guy at Fredrickson's explained they have only had the account 13 days! Hardly time for me to "ignore the corrospondance".
They were very rude and threatening and demanded that I do all the chasing and resolving or they will take me to court as they "can't trust a man off the street saying he doesn't owe this money".
I am really disappointed with this and my wife, myself, my mother, and 3 other O2 phones (all iPhone tarriffs) will be leaving to go to Orange as soon as our agreements are up.
Disgusted. Any advice? I did explain that I will report the matter to Ofcom and FSA if they continue to harrass me, they said they will continue as I owe the money.

It is my post that brewerdave has pointed you to and it might help to explain what has happened to you. O2 seem to rely on mental telepathy ie. they think they have sent a text or an email and expect you to receive it!! I do not use O2 email any more but I check it every day to make sure I have not got any emails from them.

The O2 customer services chap I spoke to yesterday said that due to a glitch in their system, thousands of their customers had been wrongly reported to Fredricksons as owing money. Nice!!

As to being threatened by Fredricksons, just google the name and see what other people have to say about them!
