QUIDCO & DABS Selective Tracking??

Hi,

Has anybody bought anything from Dabs.com via Quidco?

If so i would like to know how your tracking went, as mine seems rather selective!!

Dabs was a relativley new addition to Quidco and was at first supposed to be tracking orders at 5%.

I placed my first order on the 10 Nov for £2,250, it didn't track, should have tracked in @ 5% for £112.50 cashback.

Cashback rate then dropped to 3%

2nd order placed 18 Nov for £250, this time it tracked within 1 day for a paltry £7.50

3rd order placed 25 Nov for £1,400, it didn't track, should have tracked in @ 3% for £42 cashback.

4th order placed 28 Nov for £200, and it has tracked already, again for a mere £6!

Can anyone spot the trend here yet???

Big money orders = No Tracking, Little orders = Tracked.

I think whoever the tracking company is (I'm pretty sure it's TradeDoubler) is keeping this cash for themselves.

Well half of it at least....

Why would i say this??

Becasue at the bottom of the page of the Quidco / Dabs link quidco states:

Please read the following before proceeding:

Please note that commissions will not be paid on any orders from the Mobile phone, Gaming or spares subsites as these are white label sites.

Please note: Although the vast majority of transactions are tracked successfully, the network currently responsible for this merchant has decided to only pay 50% for any successful enquiries on missing transactions. We have expressed our dissatisfaction to the network and are doing everything we can to improve this situation.

And before anyone asks, yes i always clear my cookies and ensure that everything is set correctly for it to track, and no i didn't buy anything from the categories listed in the above quidco extract.

I find it quite a coincidence that that the 2 large orders didn't track in between 2 smaller ones tracking ok within one day?

Any one have any thoughts??

You should treat any money you receive from Quidco as a bonus, not a right.
Dont purchase items through quidco just to get the cash. Only go through quidco if you NEED the items and then treat any cashback as a nice little extra.

Dabs have been with tradedoubler since 2003 and so I would be surprised if there was anything underhand going on... cause that doesnt mean a system cant simply be rubbish :D

Yes, i spend over £4000 just to get quidco cashback, get real and don't be patronising.

This is not what my OP was about, i asked if anyone had any similar experiences, not for moral high ground preaching.

Well in this world of affiliates i would be very surprised if there WASN'T anything underhand going on!

Perhaps the system is no good, but it just smells a little fishy to me, and a bit coincidental that the 2 large orders didn't track, especially as the tracking reliability of dabs on quidco is very high...

    Who knows??

That is why i am wanting to see if anyone else had any similar coincidences...
  • doesn't quidco have a "submit a claim" option like rpoints does? (i use rpoints and just get them to match whatever quidco is offering as quidco is usually higher)

Well, one of my first Quidco transactions was in September for over £2000 with Thomson and strangely enough it's the only one I've had to submit a payment enquiry for. Still waiting to hear from them which is a bit tedious, I did wonder whether they were waiting for me to actually take the flights (i.e. were they concerned I might cancel?) I know on some hotel booking I did they didn't pay until the reservation had been taken. Dunno.

But I have to agree with you it does seem odd.

It does have a claim form which i have submitted, but the thing is they only pay out HALF of the commision IF it is successful, not quidco, but the affiliate network, so obviously they get to keep the other half...

So again another high value transaction, i take it you would get a fair bit of cashback for that too...

Boo Hoo. Did you not get your cash back?
Diddums -Read the terms and conditions.
I stand by what I said.
Quidco money is a bonus - not a right. If it doesnt track SO WHAT - as you say - you were going to spend £4000 anyway so why the gripe?
