IVA and non-creditor bank accounts

Options
We have had our IVA approved and have recieved the form to sign that we have destroyed our credit cards and cheque books.

We have long since destroted all credit cards but still have a cheque book with a bank that has never been owed anything by us and is not named as a creditor in the IVA.

Do we need to destroy this cheque book.

The IP knows about it and we need an account with the bank to run our business account.

Thanks

SB

As long as the account has no overdraft facility I don't see there is any need to destroy the cheque book.
  • It does have an overdraft and we have asked for it to be deleted but they say they wont do this 'till July!!

The bank is Santa Dare and have heard they are not inslovant friendly so don't want to tell them more than I should.

Personally ( don't know if this is right or not) I would hang in there til July, lose the overdraft facility and carry on from there.
