ebay payment question

I ordered something on ebay last night and immediately realised I'd ordered the wrong item so I asked the seller to cancel. They did so and said it wouldn't affect my paypal. In the 'activity' bit of myebay(under the £ sign) it says 'dispute process has blocked you from making payment' but when I go into my paypal account it says the payment has been completed.

I have contacted the seller to say the payment appears to have gone through and can they refund but I'm just a bit confused as to what the actual status is.

Can anyone advise? I don't use ebay much and am unsure of how things work.

If you buy something on ebay you then have the option of 'pay now'.
You would have to click on that and put in your password for your paypal account which would then take you to a payment page.
You could not have paid without going through this process.

Thanks. Yes, well I must have done that because the amount is showing in my paypal account summary. What's bothering me is that the transaction has been cancelled (which the seller did really promptly) but the payment has obviously gone through and now I have had no reply to my email about refund etc.

I guess I will have to wait and see if they reply.
