Moving Estate Agents - what should they give me to take to another Agent

Hi:
Hope someone can help. I have been with Your Move for about 22 weeks and they have not been very good in helping me sell my home. I now want to move to another agent. I paid Your Move for photos, floor plan and Energy Report. Can anyone tell me what they have to give me to take to another Agent. I dont want to pay for the floor plan, Energy Report or Photos again. Also could anyone let me know in what format these are given to me e.g. hard copy, etc.

You'll have to ask them. You should not have to pay so hopefully the fact that you did means you "own" them - but it all depends on what is in the contract you signed.0

I dont know what are in their individual terms but usually an agent charges upfront for things such as photos, for sale boards, online advertising etc and this is to cover costs incase a vendor withdraws their property from them. The EPC you paid for is yours and relates to your property so you can demand it and take it to the next agent. I doubt the new agent will happily take new photos and do a floorplan for free so you will likely have to pay again.I am an Estate Agent with my own business. There are good and bad people who work in this industry but we tend to get a bad rep from the actions of the rotten ones. I am here to offer advice and give my opinion on property related matters but always take this advice: Do your own research before committing to anything.0

Hi Caterina,
I can only re iterate what the previous have posted. The EPC is yours so just ask for a copy. You should have a receipt from the guy that did it. I think the copy would be as you request it ie; email so you can print it off or in letter (paper) form. I think you should look at your contract, if its ended that say ciao and look for another EA. The new EA will do all new stuff ie floorplans and photos etc, but beware new EA contract, read that before you sign and don't pay any unfair fees. The EA gets his wack
at the end of it all so why should you pay fees up-front. Thats a con. Normally if you leave an EA before your contract ends, the EA will charge you a sum of say about £300.00 (which is legit cos its for advertising and photos etc) but if you stay the course and now want to leave you really shouldn't have to pay anything. Good Luck. Hang Loose and Keep Tight.0 -
Hi Caterina,
Its me again! Lella!
Just tell them to go screw themselves! They didn't do their job and robbed you of £300.00! Times up baby! Tell them to give you your EPG and them tell
them to .... off!!!!

Ask them for a complete list of introductions to be provided within 14 days. More important to be able to prove you asked than to get an answer. Keep copies and proof of posting.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
