I knew GCSEs were getting easier but can you now pass them if you can't do maths???
Sounds like stamford needs a calculator..............................."Success is not to be measured by the position someone has reached in life, but the obstacles he has overcome while trying to succeed." Booker T. Washington

Sounds like stamford needs a calculator...............................
There seem to be a couple of real dunces here. I'll try and rephrase devonpilgims example remember we are looking at the total price paid
LISTEN CAREFULLY CHILDREN - The deal is three for the price of two eg cost per bottle is £10 so you get 3 bottles for an outlay of £20. Looking at is as 40% discount 3 bottles total price £30 less 40% discount £12 total outlay £18 so Threshers 40% off voucher is a bigger saving than 3 for the price of 2 YOU ONLY PAY £18 INSTEAD OF £20
WHO NEEDS A CALCULATOR MUPPETS ?????????0 -
jayne26 does not need a calculator, she needs to learn to read! What I said, was that if you took the 40% deal it would cost £45.00 for 3 bottles but on the 3 for 2 it would cost £50.00 (assuming bottles were £25.00 each) Therefore the 40% is still better than the 3 for 2 as you would save another fiver! After all we are all here to save money - the clue is in the name of the website!
But here is the math once more just in case you still don't get it!
25x3 = 75 less 30 (which is 40% of 75) = 45
25 x 3 = 75 less (25) = £50
extra saving £5.00
Hope that clarifies!0 -
