    I knew GCSEs were getting easier but can you now pass them if you can't do maths???

    Sounds like stamford needs a calculator...............................

    There seem to be a couple of real dunces here. I'll try and rephrase devonpilgims example remember we are looking at the total price paid

    LISTEN CAREFULLY CHILDREN - The deal is three for the price of two eg cost per bottle is £10 so you get 3 bottles for an outlay of £20. Looking at is as 40% discount 3 bottles total price £30 less 40% discount £12 total outlay £18 so Threshers 40% off voucher is a bigger saving than 3 for the price of 2 YOU ONLY PAY £18 INSTEAD OF £20

    WHO NEEDS A CALCULATOR MUPPETS ?????????
  • jayne26 does not need a calculator, she needs to learn to read! What I said, was that if you took the 40% deal it would cost £45.00 for 3 bottles but on the 3 for 2 it would cost £50.00 (assuming bottles were £25.00 each) Therefore the 40% is still better than the 3 for 2 as you would save another fiver! After all we are all here to save money - the clue is in the name of the website!
    But here is the math once more just in case you still don't get it!

    25x3 = 75 less 30 (which is 40% of 75) = 45
    25 x 3 = 75 less (25) = £50
    extra saving £5.00

    Hope that clarifies!
