Can't be done. I think it is £7 per bag (one way) at the airport currently. 15 kg limit per bag.

Edit: Just been to Ryanair website to check for you - £7 it is I reckon (at one of the airport Ryanair Sales & Info desks - I think there's normally two at Stansted - the one on the end of "E" is it? often has much shorter queues than the big desk in the middle up near "J"), but it took me ages to find the £7 on the website. On the other hand, I instantly found a section on the homepage inviting me to much more easily register with a Netherlands Antilles registered online gaming outfit called RYANAIR Bingo than anything that would actually help me with your routine airline type enquiry. Your question (which is quite common) isn't even dealt with by their new FAQ section...doh!

Are Ryanair a serious airline or are they really just a greedy make a profit any which way you can outfit?

I am finding it extremely difficult to take an airline very seriously who devote resources to setting up as an online gaming company. Can you? Trouble is I and my family have to use them not infrequently because they have grown to occupy so much of the market.

Tell you what Mr O'Leary, you carry on messing around with scratch cards, bingo, bashing BAA and settling old scores at Aer Lingus, but the day your company fail to take proper care of my family, you can expect me knocking on your door. Will that be ok with you, Sir?
  • hi, well i see you got a bit pid off wit Ryanair, yeah im not 2 keen on them myself, but for 16£ return it takes me to the nearest airport where my destination is... so thats how ryanair wins, but the way they ve recently changed - pid off - paying 4 luggage, paying 4 online check in, etc etc, and whats the deal with bingo? crap too.... anyway thanks 4 finding it out 4 me, seems like im not taking any luggage then lol!!

Thanks for this advice - I went to the Ryanair ticketing area by row E and paid 2 x £7.50 for the 2 boxes of christmas presents I was taking to my family in Spain - it worked out better than booking them on online as I only had to pay for them one way whereas I'd have had to have got return if I was booking online.
I received an email from Ryanair just before I left which advised not to wrap presents - well all mine were already wrapped and there was no problem.
Great return journey with Ryanair - made a lovely change!
