Had a quick search and couldn't find this anywhere, so thought I would share it with you...
If you are a user of MSN Messenger, but are unable to access it at work or where-ever, because its blocked by the company... there is now a web-based version, which works as long as you have a web browser..
Seems to work fine, as I found out yesterday when my students were using it instead of their classwork!!
You go here:
http://webmessenger.msn.com/default.aspx?R=1
and just log in as normal. I can't vouch for how much your boss will like it though..

All of this might just be an elaborate simulation running inside a little device, sitting on someone's table.

and you can also go on msn using WAP!
Thanks for the link! Will be VERY handy!0 -
unless your comms manager uses msn and knows about this as well, then it gets added to the blocked list ans you can't logon at work....like me !!
Most bigish companies also use software that gives them a league table of most accessed sites, if they spoy this then they shut it down.....I'm blocked from this at work as it's a forum and against company rules to access them :mad:Ex forum ambassador

I know this is an old thread, it was the only one I could find that was about webmessenger!
I've only just discovered this and was wondering if anyone knows if it is usually accessible from internet cafes? Do they block certain sites?0 -
You can always use http://www.meebo.com as well - works for AIM, ICQ, MSN Messenger, Y! messenger, Jabber and GTalk....0

My sons use it at the library, so I would assume it would also work in internet cafes. The only way to know for sure if the cafe you use allows it, is to try.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thanks, It's just that I'm hoping to use it to keep in touch when my husband is abroad. Obviously we'll have to wait until he's actually there to try it out!0 -

I use Meebo at work, it is great and so easy and simple to use."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0
