Do you think the Gallery is worth it? Not many people use it anymore and it does bump up the price in the listing! do you think people still look at the auction if it doesn't have a pic cos it adds to suspision? probably not!? What d'ya think

Hello
I won't even entertain a sale if it won't show a pic on the gallery. What is the point of not showing the item has the seller something to hide?
Remember there are a lot of bad sellers on there and usually when you do find a picture on their actual listing it is blurred or there is an excuse as to why they cannot get a picture on there. ie no digital camera or phone camera resolution not upto scratch etc.
Also check their feedback if they have had a few bad scores it sounds dodgy to me!!
feel free to check me out on ebay my sales login is s30jok

Hi, I can appreciate that but I meant the pic showing once on the whole list not in your auction. Where you get charged 15p

Hi Angelcake;
I reckon if its a commodity item (eg memory etc) probably not worth it. Otherwise I would say yes, I tend to browse by sight and it will be the photo that catches my eye. If I am serious I will of course look at the others as well. I think a photo will catch the newbies attention and they are the oners that bid early and get the old feeding frenzy going.
Obviously if item is only gone to sell for a pound or two then you will have to think again. But if its say £5 or more that extra 15 will probably be money well spent.0 -
Thanks! thats a better way of looking at it! ....

I have found as far as DVD's are concerned there seems to be a set price that people will bid upto regardless if theres a gallery pic or not. I have noticed having the pic in the search gets more hits for your auction, but are they serious?......I;m not so sure.
Its like others have said, if someone wants something enough they will look at the auction if you have a pic or not.0 -
