BT Anytime promotion offer

Hi Just received an offer from BT to switch my calls. they are offering BT Anytime at £3.00 per months on 12 month contract. I'm currently with Primus, since years ago when they first appeared and have had no problems with them. (never had reason to query anything though)

Thing is, are there any underlying issues if I switch to the BT offer for the 12 month period? I figure that if I go for the line rental up front deal at the same time I will be paying just £13 per month for all calls and if I just stay as I am I will be paying over that per month.

Hope I make sense?

I've just changed from unlimited evenings and weekends to anytime (got a letter saying my E&WE was about to renew unless I contacted them)...I went for the £5/month with 3 months free (so £45 instead of £60 for the year), I could also have got the anytime plan for £3/month (so £24 saving in the year ) but couldnt have the line rental saver ( £120/year) with that offer..so as almost all my calls will be inclusive (only use a mobile to call mobiles) so £13.75/month, been paying about £19-23/month for line rental and calls (whole bill DD/paper free), so not a bad saving

You have (probably permanetly) lost the £1.25/month paper-free discount so knock £15/year off the saving.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

True, still paperless billing but no paperless billing discount, but should still be better off, and wont have to pay the line rental increase thats due soon ( think its a 30p/month increase)

Can rental saver be used without transferring calls back to BT ? The on line request states that calls will be transferred.
