Has any one had any experince of A@L not paying out for both parties on the reccommend a friend £50 offer and if so how did you chase them up and did anyone have any successs ?

did the new account holder use quidco? if so, they try to get out of paying.

this has happened to me once before, and threatening to close my account was enough to get them to pay up.
they havent paid me for the latest, so I'll be doing it again.
p.s) it helps to go into a city branch whilst in smart work clothes. they would rather keep you as a customer (mention you are looking for a mortgage) than !!!! you off for the sake of £50.

joffy, I just posted a similar question on the referral board, as I hoped the referral experts would be able to answer.

yes they refused me and my mum, saying that as I funded her account from my existing account with them, it did not qualify.

I have sent them a secure email via their website strongly arguing that the T&C's for the referral do not mention external funding.

There are separate T&C's about managing the account which mention external funding.

I ran my girlfriend's account exactly the same as my mum's and they paid us both.

If I was not hanging on for their 0% card in a few months then I'd be closing everything down, or at least threatening to.
