2 4 1 on Qatar flights

I just been on the website and searched for flights to HK. Thing is even with the offer it's £470pp for the dates that I want. Cheap in comparison to last minute flights which are £600+ but not compared to if you booked early. It's for my Mum and she is pretty flexible, only thing is, she needs to travel on 1st May but can return anytime before 14th June. The longer the better obviously. Anyone found any cheaper?

First of all- The promotion on Qatar UK site is not working. I have checked all other sites in US,Lebanon etc and the promotion is working through those sites.

I am not happy about 2 for 1 offer. 2 for 1 means you buy one ticket get another free, right?
Well, I check London-Dubai route for one person and its £435. the same route for 2 persons costs £ 320 each! Is it not supposed to be 435/2=220ish for each? 435 pounds should be for two! They are cheating a little bit?

I have just booked two tickets to BKK on the UK site with no problems whatsoever.

I have paid just over £440 each for two of us flying from MCR in June and I am satisfied with that.

I suspect that I could get a little cheaper on Brunei or some other Asian carrier, but compared with BA and Emirates for the same period of travel, they are significantly cheaper.

The downside of course is Doha airport - hell on earth!

I agree with you. they are cheap flights as in cheaper than last min but it's not literally 2 4 1.

It does state
Offer applicable to fare only. Taxes & fees must be paid
The taxes/fees on the route are £200 so in your case that makes the fare £235
so instead od £235x2 + £200x2 you pay £235x1 + £200x2
total of £635...or around £320 each

I am certainly not disputing that as I have been to worse - but it is still a hell hole nonetheless.

Thank you. I understand now. I was going to take Qatar to court yesterday (I even saved some screenshots to proove my case)!

I think this deal is good for someone who was planning to go to one of the Qatar's offered destinations for a long time ago and now it is a perfect opportunity to save a few hundred pounds. For people who are adventorous as me it's not good as Qatar do mostly long haul luxury expensive flights. You can't just buy a couple of tickets to Melbourne or Phuket and pay a few grants just because they do 2 for 1 offer. You must have this researched well and planned in your mind for a long time to be able to use your allocated money this promotion.
Well done who got the tickets cheaper than they had planned
