I have a 2nd interview but have a DRO....
Options
Hello,
I am after any advice please.
I have applied for a job and have a 2nd interview with them later today. The job is much the same to what I do now and about the same wage.
My question is, do I inform them about the DRO and at what point? My current job is fine with the DRO and I have never been questioned (I am only a few weeks into my DRO though).
I just do not want to say the wrong thing at the wrong time. The agency did ask if I was bankrupt or anything like this but when I filled the form out I was awaiting to find out if the DRO had been approved so I did not say anything, plus my manager advised that if I put this on record with them it may well be hard to remove in the future.
How should I go about this if I was offered the job?
Thanks for any help, much appreciated!!
Kerry

what are you applying for?If you woke up this morning congratulations, you have another chance :j0 -
Like Bankruptcy, while you have a DRO you can not perform certain roles or funtions (i.e a director of a company, being able to set up a limited company, etc) but unless your role is one of those restricted roles I wouldn't worry.
Personally, unless you know its a potential issue for your specific role or you are asked again (verbally) or asked to sign something that specifically requires you to disclose it (contract) then I wouldn't volunteer it. For 99% of jobs its probably irrelavant and they don't need to know as it does not impact them. Unnecessarily flagging up a DRO or BR may only serve to get a question/black mark against you by your manager or the HR department, because just like telling a friend .. some people will judge you for it negatively and colour their future opinion of you.0 -
Thank you for all your comments.
Its a role that I do currently which is checking finance documents, I just hope to move company. The company I work for now has no problem with this.
Hopefully if im offered they won't ask me the question!
Thanks again for your help.0
