Title says it all really.

I want to download a website which has training/learning on it to deal with depression and keep it on ly laptop so I can go through the sessions without having to be tied to a broadband link.

Can anyone advise the best way to achieve this?

Thanks

Not sure what your understanding of web technology is - are you a novice? do you know much about computers?

Either way, you can't just download an entire website. you are better off trying to copy and paste individual pages for reading later. you can do this by highlighting the text you want and then copying it to a Word document - if you are not sure what this means, let us know your skill level and we can explain further.

Alternatively, does the website offer copies of its content in a downloadable format (eg in .pdf format?) once again, you may not know what a .pdf is. If the site has training material though, its likely that they offer their content in a format other than a web page specifically for people like you who want to download it and read it offline

Sure you can... sort of... in theory. A website is just a collection of files on a server, so it's "just" a case of download the files you need. There are a number of applications that can do this for you, although I've had mixed results.

If you're hoping to interact with the website (i.e. submit information to be stored under your online account), then you'll almost certainly run in to problems as there's no easy way (that I know of) to get your PC to re-submit the data when you re-connect to the Internet.

Anyway, you might want to have a look at some of the search results here:

I use the wget command to grab a whole website. You can download this for Windows and OSX, it is free and very small.
To grab all pages on a Domain run the following:
    wget -r -p -U Mozilla http://www.moneysavingexpert.com
