JoJo,
Do you need to pay a certain amount throught your A&L account? i am looking at setting a basic account up in my name to pay in some savings for my son that i can get access to easily, just for his pocket money etc?0 -
Thanks everyone, H had a dormant openplan account with the Woolwich so we are going into joint names on that. That should be okay shouldn't it?0

Zippee, Natwest AND Co-op do basic accounts with either a electron or solo card, my OH has woolwich electron and they are quite good as banks go.
Any of those 3 I have heard are good for basis accounts, and a couple you can do online me thinks!

Currently awaiting CCCS Plan.
Proud to be dealing with my debt!0 -
If I go through with the CCCS do I have to have a basic account? can't we just use H's Woolwich account? we wouldn't be getting any credit cards, overdrafts etc.. it's just easier for us if we use an account thats already open.. we don't have much choice of banks or building societies around here and we are already in debt with Natwest..0

Go through Quidco when applying and you could get 50.00.Not in debt at the moment, but been there in the past and realise I'm the kind of person who could easily fall back into it with the self destructing spending button so making sure I keep on top of being a good girl.

Won't suit anyone as they are quite regional but the Yorkshire building society offers a cash transactor account without a credit check (they may check to confirm identity).
Give you a link ATM card and allow standing orders and direct debits.0
