Painting Concrete & Breeze Block Walls

Hello,
Im going to open a new shop that is at a shell stage and the cheapest way I can think is to paint the walls. Now some have said pva glue/water first, then paint with normal paint, some say just normal paint and others say masonry paint.
Can anyone guide me here, what is the best way to go about this?
Thanks.

If it were mine I would use Sandtex masonry paint - I have used it on several occasions and it gives good coverage which lasts.Forgotten but not gone.0

I would use alkali resisting primer to start with and then emulsion. But I would go with masonry paint too. Just not dilute PVA. Yes it does stop the paint being sucked it, but it is a terrible surface for putting paint onto - the paint tends to curl up and flake off.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. No need for PVA just put a mist coat on first.0
