hiya peeps ive just downloaded this and it seems nice and easy to use.
Just one question though on my laptop im able to scroll up and down pages by using the right hand side of my touchpad for my cursor but i cant do this in Firefox.
Is there an extension that i need to download or does firefox just not support this type of scrolling through pages from a laptop?
any ideas would be much appreciated

My Laptop at work does this and as far as I know it is the touchpad equivalent of the scroll wheel on a mouse. Because of this, I would say that it is more likely the fault would lie in the driver for the touchpad not sending the correct signals to FF (the scroll wheel on my mouse works fine with FF) than anything to do with Firefox. You could try making sure the drivers on your PC for the touchpad are the latest.
I have never heard of an extension for FF for this problem, but FF does have a lot of "hidden" background settings. Does the scrolling work in other programs (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Notepad, Internet Explorer) (i.e. does it work in all the other programs you use except FF)?0 -
yeah it works fine for every other program it just doesnt work for Firefox unfortnatley
just a little bit of a hassle when im used to scrolling down pages this way lol

Have you tried updating the actual driver for your touchpad? I think you'll find this works. :-)Yellowlawn

What version of FF is it? (Goto Help and select About Mozilla Firefox)
There appear to be a few people with the same problem with Firefox.

From reading this and another couple of threads, it appears to be a cross between a driver related issue and a Firefox issue. From what people of said (including come of the FF developers) the driver for the touchpad is not sending the correct signal to Firefox so it can work out to scroll the screen. teh problem seems to be that the developers can't find out what signal it is sending to look for that instead.
Having said that, changing the driver for the touchpad/mouse and altering some of the settings does seem to work for some people so it's worth trying that. You can always change them back again if neccesary.0 -

When I used IE there was an icon on the toolbar for my emails, how to I add this on the Firefox toolbar, if possible? As I have moved onto FF, should I also use their email - Thunderbird too?
Thanks

You don't HAVE to use Thunderbird but I'd certainly advise NOT using Outlook or Outlook Express, with their inherent security risks.0
