I hate lloyds tsb!

I checked my bank on the phone at 8am this mornig and I was £2 overdrawn.
then I checked internet banking at 12pm £2 overdrawn.
I have just checked internet banking again and i'm £19 overdrawn?!
I paid with my card in kiksave yesterday which usually takes 2days but they have taken it out today at 7pm!
now I am going to get charged!
Are they allowed to do this?-wait until the banks are shut, so you can't deposit money and then take money from your account early?
I'm sorry but I really needed a rant!

Why is a person that handles your money called a broker?!

  • If you spent money you didn't have then it's not realy the banks fault. However you should be able to ask for the charges back if they are too high.

I'm sorry but you shouldn't have spent on the card with insufficient funds.

Phone them up if they charge you and ask them to refund the charge, the charges are automatically applied with the computer system. If they don't refund your charge take them court with MCOL.

In theory I didn't spend money I didn't have I get paid 2moro so the funds would have been there as debit payments take 2days 2 go through normally, I needed nappies and wipes for children, so not much choice but to spend i'm afraid!

ive used my debit card and sometimes it comes out the same day.. so dont expect it to be 2 days etc.. i would ring them up and explain to them and ask them not to charge you.. if you ignore it then they will charge if you ring them they might be able to do something..

    Are thinking of you today.

If you needed nappies and wipes for the children then you had no choice but to spend, but that doesn't mean that Lloyds TBS aren't entitled to claim the money which was purchased using their card.

However, transactions sometimes appear on my account the evening before but they are dated for the next day so you might not get charged for it.

  • Hi cattie1... You might as well give them a ring and ask them not to charge you for a small amount. Aren't bank charges computerised? If you speak to someone they may be able to do something. It's worth a call anyway isn't it? Good Luck :D x
