Think im getting fired or deciplined in the morning

Hi,
Please help on this situation, my employer has informed me that next saturday i HAVE to attend a 1 day course.
I asked would i get paid (only work mon - fri) and manager rudely replied no.
This all ended in a row and me telling my manager to f-off.
I have now heard the manager has made a formal complain about me telling him to f-off.
Recived text message saying i had to attend a meeting 8am.
Dont know if this meeting is to sack me, disipline me or what,,
Me and this manager havent seen eye to eye for last few months and constantly calls the owner complaing about me being, moody, wanting to leave company, me having problem with this manager.
I have spoken to the owner several times recently and have always said i have no problem with this manager or anyone else, just want to work. falling on selective deaf ears!!
I usaly work 8.30am - 6pm and this argument happend after 6pm, but was still on premeses.
been employed for over 3 years, not had any previous warnings.

I would think you will most certainly be facing disciplinary action that can lead to your being fired. Your foul mouthed comments to your manager might be considered gross misconduct. My advise is for you to apologise profusely, promise it will never happen again and hope for a written warning. There are ways and means of dealing with issues at work - rudely telling someone to f u c k off is generally not one of them!

If your manager treats you badly and chastises you in front of other staff, then you should have taken out a grievance and dealt with it in a professional manner. Two wrongs don't make a right.

If this is your defence, then you stand a better than average chance of getting sacked.

Two wrongs don't make a right though and losing your temper and swearing at someone is not a good idea at work however anyone else behaves;)

Again, the issue with your contract is another issue entirely. You are starting to sound a little sulky now. Perhaps you'll be as glad to be sacked as they will be to see the back of you?

rough ride? I think you need to understand what a "rough ride" actually is!

you snapped, responded in a manner which is unprofessional and profane - while your previous gripes are not nice they are NOT part of the situation at hand. You SWORE at a line manager, on premesis, that's not acceptable and i would expect at the very least a written warning for unprofessional conduct.

the after hours thing won't matter either. Either apologise profusely , in the hope of getting a telling off or a written warning and then deal with the matter at hand i/.e. no pay, or accept you will most likely be fired

Who is the meeting with? Hope that it is with your manager and that it is him doing the disciplining. Because basically he cannot. But learn today's lesson. Keep your big mouth shut and let them make their own mistakes without input from you.

If you had been confident of your position, and bearing in mind it was after hours, all you needed to do was tell your manager that you would not attend a Saturday course and tell him that the discussion is closed. Then go home. It would have left you a good deal more bomb proof than you are now.

The meeting must be an investigation, it cannot be a disciplinary as they will not have explained your rights, which include the right to 24 hours notice and to be accompanied.

Also if Dismissal is a possible outcome of the disciplinary then you must be advised in writing that this is a possible outcome.
