egg card - how long does it take to get it?

hey guys,

i applied for an egg card two weeks ago and got approved the same day. they sent me an email saying the card is on it's way. however, i haven't received it yet. should i be worried? i don't want it to have been nicked or anything.

have you got an egg card and how long did it take to get yours?

I applied for mine in March this year and it definitely took a couple of weeks...

There's no harm in phoning Egg but I wouldn't be overly worried as the card can't be used by anyone else because you need to phone up to activate them first using details you set up online [mother's maiden name, your DOB, that sort of thing]. As the card isn't valid till it's been activated it would be declined.

Mine took about 3 weeks.... and that was pretty recent, ie about 6 weeks ago....

I think there might be a bit of "pot luck" involved as to how close your application was to a "print run" (physically making and programming the chip on your card) where the cards are produced by the security printing companies that do that kind of thing on behalf of the provider.
