Buying a cycle helmet.

    I think the most important thing is that the helmet fits properly.
    I don't care what colour it is or whatever, but it really needs to fit properly to do it's job.

    I was using a Giro Hex, which was about the 11th or 12th helmet in the shop I tried (starting with cheapest and moving up until I found one that fit), until Saturday when it got split in two following an accident. When I look at the state of it I'm very glad I took the time in the LBS to get the fitting right.

    And on the money saving side, I'll be taking advantage of the Giro crash replacement service... :o
