new current a/c

Hi everyone,
I'm thinking of applying for a new current a/c with first direct as I don't like barclays and I want to get the £100.
You have to pay in £1500+ but I just wondered if it's okay that that's made up of tax credits etc as I actually only earn 800per month but will pay in 2k+.
I don't want to ring and ask as I hate banks!

You don't have to pay in £1500 a month (you can get it free by opening a savings account with £1 in), and I generally don't like phoning banks but first direct seems different - they always answer within a few rings and are very pleasant when you speak to them.
But in answer to your question that should be fine paying in like that, if your unsure ring them on 0800 24 24 24.0 -
