repointing patio...easyjoint or geofix

I am about to repoint my patio. Instead of bending over for a couple of days and doing it I was thinking of maybe getting one of these sweep in solutions.
The two options seem to be either the geofix stuff or the easyjoint compound.
Has anyone had any experience with these?

Geofix is commonly referred to us geosh*t by the experts. Easipoint is much better but it is expensive.0

I wouldn't listen, no, I took no notice, I though Geofix sounded wonderful.. it couldn't be that bad after all????
So I insisted my new patio late last year was done with it and once the terrible pong subsided (several weeks!) it looked lovely and as solid as stone.
Then came this winter, quite a bad winter. Now here in April its already really dirty and green but worst of all no longer attached to the slabs anywhere, its staying in place purely by gravity.
Its all going have to be picked out (ironically thats very easy!) and done with proper cement - the stepped area that the builder did with his regular mix is solid as rock and good as new.
Serves me right _pale_European for 3 weeks in August, the rest of the year only British and proud.0 -

I remember that thread. I meant to reply to it with the search showing that they all agreed on that site that it was rubbish but I never got around to it. I am glad that i have been vindicated :beer:0 -

Dry mix, brushed into the joints . . like the pros do it . .0

I have done a lot of pointing/repointing and have been disappointed ( no pun ) with dry mixing . In my experience it does not stand the test of time.
I now use a pointing gun kit . £20 approx from Toolstation. Fills all the voids quickly and gives a durable joint.Forgotten but not gone.0 -
