Switching car insurance provider

My car insurance is up for renewal, and I'd like to shop around.
I'm currently with Aviva, and have had two claims whilst with them (around 5 years been with them).
I've never changed because I can't remember when these claims happened, or how much they were for - which is needed to get quotes from new companies.
Do Aviva have to tell me if I ring and ask them when the claims were and how much they were for? I don't want to be done for insurance fraud for guessing, so keep sticking with Aviva.
Thanks
Sarah

They don't "have" to tell you, but most companies would help if they could.
Otherwise you can get details from CUE about what info is held on you regarding claims.0 -
how does one access CUE? is there a cost?0

Whats CUE?0
-
claims database contributed to and used by insurance companies0
-
Have you checked your docs to see if the details are listed on there eg under claims, just a theory0

Just call their claims department. Ask when the accidents were and what the cost of the claim was. There's absolutely no reason why they shouldn't tell you this information afterall your paying for a service.0
