CnM Touchpad 2 II password

got one of these 2nd hand LEGALLY and works fine but it seems to have some sort of "unlock pattern" that I do not know , not the end of the world as it works without it, was just hoping to do a factory reset to get rid of all the previous owners stuff

and I have NO experience of Andriod

any way of getting this off easily ? or at least resetting it ?

I've only had a go at these in Maplins but didn't get to do much with it as it wouldn't read from USB (slave vs host), but was quite surprised how responsive the resistive screen felt. I'd be very interested to hear your opinion on it's general use whenever you have time.

when you say unlock pattern when is it asking for it? The only unlock pattern i've ever seen on android is to unlock it and if you haven't got that one you wouldn't be able to use the tablet at all.

On my android phone there's a factory reset option under settings>privacy, or theres an option to turn off or change the unlock pattern under setting>security. The only other way to change it is to know what google account it's linked to and get google to override it

can get most of it to work fine , it only asks for the unlock pattern if i try to reset

sittin here listening to radio , watched youtube fine

did'nt think of linked google account , maybe theres a way of unlinking that and adding mine

tried the upgrade tool but depite adding the drivers and following the guide it

1) refuses to recognise the image on the cd in the box

2) fails to see the device

cannot see this device listed on the makers site

just updated, will see what happens with a fresh install or if poxy unlocking pattern still there (if it still works....lol)

well ,can confirm that the use of the upgrade pack from the CNM web site HAS removed the offending password , the one in the box is no use for whatever reason

find it a bit weird with the way you need to drag down the page , feels like you are doing it the wrong way , and it seems to only want to save apps to an sd card rather than the device when you download

afraid I am a windows user so not overly keen on having to find and install apps to do basic things like watch youtube on android. It is quite fast though , not sure if I could make use of it so think I will not keep it
