We have just had a phone call from wefightanyclaim.com asking us to pay £200.00 and then they will check with our last couple of mortgages and see if we are entitled to any refund.
Obviously with money being precious at the moment I did not commit to this. They did say no win no fee at the end and the £200.00 would be refunded.
They said they were fully regulated.
They also suggested if I had any concerns to check
claimsregulation.gov.uk
Any advice much appreciated

They will take your £200 and then tell you that you don't have a claim, but keep the money for the work they have done (none).
If you do have PPI on your mortgages, and you feel you have been mis-sold, make your own complaint.
Keep your precious money my friendI drum and knit to help Independent Drummers and Knitters to comply with their rhythms and knitting patterns. Although I am qualified to, I don't advise drummers or knitters for reward.0 -

There is no refund entitlement with mortgages. That is a total red herring with a probable less than 1% likelihood. They did say no win no fee at the end and the £200.00 would be refunded.
As did all the other companies that have gone on to fail and taking the money with them. Also, what if they say you have a case, put in a complaint and then the complaint is rejected? Many have it worded that you only get a refund if THEY feel you dont have a case. Not if you lose at the end. Check the wording carefully as a lot of what you are told by these unqualified cold calling reps is complete bull. They said they were fully regulated.
Not worth a thing. You could get "fully" regulated in about 2 weeks to do what they do. It requires no knowledge, qualifications, experience etc.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

Avoid this bunch of cowboys; they will not refund any monies you part with, and will do the minimum background work in trying to retrieve anything; they'll send standard letters out claiming you were 'forced into buying a PPI' regardless of whether you actually had one or not. Clowns of the first order.0 -

It is worth remembering that you are responsible for what they say and if they claim you had PPI when you did not it could be construed as an offence under the Fraud Act.0 -
thankyou very much for all of the advice. I am now safe in the knowledge that myself and my cash will not be parted. Thankyou all so much
