Cheap Xbox games at woolworths (merged)

I ordered 20 games to collect in store and every one was cancelled. Quite strange considering my local store has most of them in stock.0

This seems to be happening a lot recently - you order items tha seem to be in stock at the time of ordering, only to discover later they're out of stock. They either need a decent stock control system or its just a cynical way of increasing their customer database0

In my experience of Woolworths they do try to fulfill orders if possible, like the Xbox360 harddrive a while back also The Incredibles & Findind Nemo PS2 games which I did receive.
But I agree with others that their online ordering system should be updated to reflect real time stock and avoid annoying the very customers they are tring to serve.0 -
Looks like they have taken most if not all of the Xbox games off their website now...The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)0

I ordered 8 games for £20, and all cancelled too. Surely this is against trading standards as False advertising?0

I went between my local woolworths/Big W and got the 9 games I had reserved for store delivery for the same price I had ordered them.... The e-mail I had said they had been delivered to store but when I went down they hadnt so they gave me them from stock (also got a few 99p ones without covers/cases)0

They had 51 games under £5 last night, 46 are still there so they must have taken 5 off. Dont know why they didnt take them all away as it's clear we arent getting any of them.

Hi all.
Sorry if this is old news and all but I had some luck and thought I'd share it. Most people knew that Woolworths were selling off all their XBox games before Christmas. Well, I've noticed that a few stores have none on display. After talking to an assistant in my local branch I was told that they had been sent a memo from HQ to strip the games off the shelves as they may be being returned to the central warehouse. Well, I asked if they had any left and they had a drawer full!!! All were sealed/wrapped etc.
I got:
Warriors (18 cert) - £1.97
Urban Chaos (18 cert) - £3.73
Timesplitters Future Perfect - £3.99
Conflict Global Storm - £1.97
Medal of Honor European Assault - £4.00
Moto GP 3 - £3.99
Toca 2 - £3.99
and my two absolute bargains (IMHO!) were:
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter - £3.23 !!!!!!!
Half Life 2 - £4.97
Other titles I saw (but didn't purchase) were:
Forza Motorsport - £4.99
Championship Manager 06? (I think) - £1.97
Full Spectrum Warrior Ten Hammers - £3.50
Driver 3 Parallel Lines - £???
I
could have bought loads and sold on I suppose but I'm not like that. I like to think other people might get a bargain like me. I think the stores should make it a bit more difficult for purchasers by limiting how many you can buy. At least you'd have to get someone else to go and buy more for you. That's just my opinion and I'm not forcing it onto anyone so don't flame me for it! Please!!!
Get yourselves down to Woolies counters and ask what they may have left. You never know - they may have the one you always wanted for a steal!
Best regards, everyone. :beer:0 -
Thanks - I was wondering why my local Woolies didn't have one single X-Box game on it's shelves, will remember to ask next time I'm in there.0
