The price of that thing!
Puts me in mind of the happy times when Lakeland sold three different types of avocado slicer...They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.

I can't get the link to work!!! And I want one too! Even though I haven't seen it. You have all advertised it sooooo well :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

Good job Granny died years ago or she'd kill herself laughing at that one.......:rotfl:Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -

Egg cracker? but.. ::Boggles::
Although it does seem to be a one handed operation, and while I appreciate it is possible to crack an egg with one hand, I guess this may be useful to people with disabilities much like the magic soap dispenser. Especially if this thing can peel hard boiled eggs?
And no I know, If they marketed these things for this purpose it wouldn't be half as much of a joke!0 -

As far as I can see, it's a two handed operation to get an egg into the thing. And I can crack an egg without it one handed
(I know, nobody likes a showoff). So not a device for those less able I'd say. Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Perhaps some of our humble kitchen utensils need 're branding' (oh yes, I can 'marketing speak' with the best of 'em!) So I bring you...
The multi-purpose, Peel, Dice'n'Slice* with ergonomic grip, variable-width option and non-dismantle, easy-clean technology (patented).
*Also available in other sizes for other jobs.

There is a product called jumpsnap which is advertised as the worlds first ropeless jump rope.
Essentially it is handles that click so you pretend to skip and you dont trip up on the rope.
If you have ever skipped( all of us I expect) you will see how ridiculous this is as the challenge is to keep going.
Anyway,it put me in mind of the emperor's new clothes or the 'useless inventions by shindogu' thing that was a comedy parody .0 -
I have no tv, no mags and no newspapers.. = very little advertising.
I live with men.. deodourant is VITAL... my poor nose would shrivel up and die otherwise.. boys are smelly!
Loo roll I could manage without... puss puss puss... I have 6
.. self-cleaning bum wipes!!
I never buy anti-bacterial anything... a have a cheap bottle of bleach which will last months and washing up liquid..
'toddler' formula.. breastmilk contains next to no iron same as cows milk.. the baby gathers iron stores during the last few weeks of pregnancy and uses these for the first 6 months, after that the stores start running low and the baby may end up anaemic if they don't get some through their diet.. formula has iron added so it is not necessary for formula fed infants.. breastfed infants are often anaemic to some degree at 1-2 years. This shows a need for better nutritional information for parents of young babies rather than a need to introduce formula to a breastfed infant.
I do have a couple of the air fresheners with motion sensors.. they deter my senile cat from peeing in places he isn't meant to.. such as on the childrens coats!
Pet deodourant.. !!!!!!!!! They don't sweat.. can they not just be bathed?
Totally agree with the uselessness of tumble dryer sheets, colour catchers, soap dispensers, single purpose cleaners, toilet blocks (plus they'd poison my cats who love loo water!), wate for irons! etc
I will admit to being one of the people who checks out the price for Kg of everything in th supermarket before buying anything.. the sugar is the craziest.. the 1kg bags are often cheaper by far than the 5kg bags.. approx. 25p per Kg sometimes.. this week the 2kg ones were cheaper... I am delighted that OH is as anal as I am about these things.. though instead of spending and hour in tesco we can easily spend 2!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
