highlighting web sites

Hi as a fairly new member i would like to know how to highlight a link to a website been trying for last thirty minutes without any success, please keep it simple am still a novice. cheers....

I'm not sure I know what you mean by highlight?

If you paste in a link it should automatically become blue and underlined.
If you mean you want to have text over a link, see if this post helps

been looking at the post for last 15 minutes , gone straight over my head. what is paste and how do you do it ? in your reply you have put ....this post .....and it leads to a link .this is what i need help on.and also how to put an internet address on so you can click on to it. cheers..

Hi

You don't need to worry about cutting and pasting to make a very basic link. You just need to type in the web address

www.google.com <--- I didn't do anything to that except type it in.
As soon as it was posted the fourm software saw it was a link and changed it into a link for me.

But cutting and pasting is important for using the web so I'd definitely learn how. There are some cut and paste instructions here.

Basically, if you highlight any text (by holding down the left mouse button and moving over some text), you can then point to the highlighted text and click it with the right mouse button and get various options including copy.

You can then go to where you want the text to appear and insert it ("paste" it)

You left out the .com or .co.uk from the end
then it would be perfect
