Monmouthshire BS regular saver rate increased to 6.00%

According to Moneyfacts, Monmouthshire BS will increase their Saver Plus regular savings account rate by a massive 0.45%, from 5.55% to 6.00% (w.e.f. 1 December 2006).
- You must deposit between £20 up to £1,000 per month.
- Like regular savings accounts from Scarborough, YBS and Bath BS, this account continues for longer than the usual 12 months, as the maximum account balance is £500,000.
- One penalty-free withdrawal is permitted each account year (ending 31st March).
- 12 monthly deposits must be made to earn the bonus rate of interest.
- All monthly deposits must be by direct debit only.

Just a slight warning here, if the account attracts you.
Monmouthshire is much smaller than Stroud & Swindon BS that withdrew its Regular Saver not that long after offering £1K per month.
So I just wonder how long this one may be around - even though Monmouthshire's 6% obviously doesn't compare to S&S's 7% Fixed.

Monmouthshire BS provide online access to their Saver Plus (regular saver). On opening the account, browse to http://www.monbs.com and then click on 'My Accounts'.
