Clearly they [Tesco] found it hard to make a promise they couldn't keep." Asda Spokesperson.

I say Tesco found it EASY to make promises it still cannot keep.

    SS UPDATE

The price of Whole Earth No Added Sugar Crunchy Peanut Butter 454G has INCREASED at Tesco to £2.59, so a even bigger DTD should be available:

Edit - Has since been pointed out that this is the wrong size bottle, so ignore my post!

I've just done my price comparisons for the wombled Asda receipts from yesterday. Only 3 had the correct amount of items on, but got 3 vouchers totalling nearly £5.
The Asda voucher tells the sa exactly what to do with it, all the numbers for times etc match, and it is almost instant.

What a difference in the organisation of a promotion.

Interesting to note that Asda use 'mysupermarket' for their comparisons, and they compare with the other 'big 3', not just Tesco. The only downside is that it is much less lucrative, but even small vouchers help when you have to go to Asda to buy something.

    Net Cost: 55p

    For the lovely spreadsheet editors:

these never made it onto the spreadsheet from a few weeks back - confirmed loadsa times - one is 5.10 in Tesco, the other is 5.05 in Tesco, both are 3.00 in Asda. :T

Possible deal on Easter Eggs - just checked both sites

Cardburys large eggs (several different varities but double check before shopping) £6.00 each in T's 3 for £10 in Asda

    So DTD of £18.00

I'm sure someone last night was saying these are better than half price at £2.75 each in some tesco stores so be careful.

  • Wrong size bottle I'm afraid - ASDA only sell 340g not 454g - still £1.50 for 340g on ASDA website :)

You could get the finest rump steak, will not be a freebie but around half the price back, looks like we are living on steak the next week or so, it's a hard life :rotfl:
