Has anyone actually used the Arm and Hammer toothpaste yet? Is it just a 'normal' minty toothpaste?

There's something about the word Hammer that makes me a bit uneasy when thinking about my teeth:rotfl:.

It's quite nice in my opinion, not strong tasting or as minty as a 'normal' toothpaste, which I think are a bit too strong. It has bicarb of soda in but you can't taste it too much - which makes your teeth feel really nice and clean. My oh hasn't tried this one yet, but I did have another a&h toothpaste which tastes strongly of bicarb which he hated, I almost like bicarb so maybe their toothpastes are a bit of an aquired taste.

I agree, it is a odd name, would like to know the story behind it.
  • T's Dubois Caron Champagne NV Brut

£29.99 at T's , £12 at A's. DTD works out at £9.99 for a half decent bottle of bubbles plus points. Shame DTD capped otherwise T's would have paid us to drink champers.

Managed to get to T's today about 40 mins before they closed, It was heaving in there, had 5 shops to do voucher for mum she wanted a leg of lamb before they went half price, voucher for brother and one for me plus a cash shop for vanish oxi to replace my voucher not back from Weds:mad: then a few bits of normal shopping. Chose a young lad and he had trouble getting the brocoli to weigh and scan tried about 6 times then said "oh have it, it's no skin off my nose", I thanked him and then presented my voucher, he had not seen one before so told him how he just had to scan it, enter the amount and sign my old receipt so I couldn't use it again, he asked if he needed to get a supervisor to check it, I said no I don't think so never had to last week when I had one, he completed the transaction and I told him I had 2 more with vouchers and 2 for cash, he finished scanning the 2nd lot of shopping and I handed him the voucher, he looked a little worried and said he thought he had better check with the supervisor as he was sure that they had been told to call one if there were any vouchers used and it had come up on his screen also, he checked with the till op next to him and she confirmed that they were the vouchers that had to go to CS desk:eek: waited ages for the supervisor to come and by this time I was thinking "oh no, here we go I'm gonna have trouble now just like the people in the posts I had been reading about on here", the supervisor came over and said vouchers like this have to go through customer services, the young lad said well she has another one to do as well and 2 cash shops, I'm thinking now I'm for it, "no problem" says the supervisor just put them through but sign them off and I'll get them re called at the CS desk.......phew heart rate returned to normal again. Went to CS and the nice lady said they had had an email from HO telling them they had to be checked by CS by 2 people before they could be put through from now on, not sure what they were checking but they did query how come mine were colour when all they had seen were black and white ones and they thought they were dodgy, so had them verified by HO.

So looks like no more quick shops for me as CS desk is always busy and all shopping has to be paid for there when using a voucher.

All the staff I have come across have been very nice, some are even interested in how they can get more than a few pence back, most have never even heard of the promotion and a few say "good on you, bloomin rip off the price of food in here" :)

God bless Tesco and all who shop there, long may it last!

Just been checking A's website and Only the thorntons classic egg £3 is showing now. Hasn't it been the moments egg for the last few days?

Most people have had this issue - you just keep re entering the details (literally, enter, back, reenter, back) and eventually they pop up

Tip (worked on my computer anyway!) - if you use Internet Explorer, it seems to retain the details when you go back, so can hit submit again without having to physically re-enter as they are still there (and Sorry, Asda were cheaper/voucher page came up). However, in Firefox, go back and it clears the form.
