  • Can someone tell me how they know what meat is comparable?
E.g Tesco Fresh Lamb Whole Leg prepacked, how do you find out if this is available to compare to ASDA?

My wife is on annual leave this week, not a problem you all say....

 she has stated she wants some different food this week instead of meals I have put together using DTD ingredients.

I mean how can she be complaining about lamb racks with nice goose fat roast spuds washed down with a glasss or 2 of WB and magnums for dessert.

Of course she is also looking so much younger with all the anti age creams she has now.. Although we did have a minor argument at the in laws today over why I was getting her anti wrinkle age creams!!!

I am now sure everyone here has the same things in the fridge, bathroom etc

Just cooking my goose fat roast spuds now :)

I would like to say a big thankyou to the SS guys, I have been looking at the new headings "All Deals, Low Value Deals & Hot Deals" and I have noticed that not all deals are shown in the All Deals section. I don't know if this is an oversight or is planned but it is worth checking all sections..

This is in no way a critisism of the great work done by the few for the many.

    Hi all

No DTDing for me today, but my vouchers came through and the Oral B Stages t/brush was N/A! Gutted. That voucher only came to £3.06 when it should have been £19.06. :(

Oh well, I will just pick myself up and carry on tomorrow! I did well on the others. :D

You're welcome! If ever I spot a new opportunity I always post them. The spreadsheet editors are putting in a lot of effort for my/our gain, and I think it's only fair that I roll my sleeves up and contribute too.

And, when you read storys on here from people that really deeply appreciate this thread (like 'Manchester1' and the woman during the week who took out a £15K loan from a friend who then went on to do a runner - sorry, I forget your name) it makes me feel that I'm 'giving something back' and that makes me feel good.

If everybody spent a spare 10 mins investigating just a small section of mysupermarket.co.uk like this we could really boost the spreadsheet to maximise the benefit for everyone. Excellent teamwork produces excellent results. Join me, it's satisfying.

I have been, but almost every time I spot a new one someone's beaten me to it lol. I always confirm 'new' DTDs as well though, to make up for it. :)

Sorry if anyone has already posted this - struggling to keep up with all the posts! Just a word of caution.

This afternoon I headed off to Mr T's as if on a mission - hadn't DTD'd for 2 days & was getting the shakes! On my list was Vanish Oxi Multi Stain Remover Powder 1.5kg £12/£4.00 DTD £16. I double checked the SS, plus Tesco & Asda Websites before I left. In the store I checked the SEL which also read £12. However at the till, it went through for £3!
That is an amazing price for the large 1.5kg tub, but not exactly what I was hoping to see - it completely threw me actually - it meant I didn't now have enough shopping to meet the DTD voucher amount. I ended up dashing back down the aisle to get a bottle of yellow label Wolf Blass Chardonnay (can always be relied upon in times of crisis!) - but my next DTD voucher will take a bashing now!
I don't know if this is store specific or national?

Sorry, posted this on the prices only thread earlier

This may have been mentioned but be careful with Vanish - instore they have 1.41kg in almost identical packaging to 1.5kg (1.41 is on offer at £3, 1.5kg is £12 which is what you want for DTD against Asda's £4 - the difference is on the 1.5kg in the yellow band around the top it states "Big Value Pack 1.5kg" on the one you want and doesn't mention the weight on the band on the other!, but clearly does on the back).
