Asda are cheeky. They have it marked as rollback when they've increased the price by 4 times!

[A very sad and untimely p.s - many will be in mouring today at the sad demise of 'Betty'. She helped us through many a tricky shopping list and it is with great regret that we learn today the very sad news that asda have increased their price from 25p to £1.

    T:£1.49
    A:£1.00
    DTD:0.98
    cost:0.51

No more freebie - no more Betty.

I feel that we our doing Mr T a big favour as he wants to be NO 1 in volumes of sales. So yes he is not getting the profit from all the sales yet he is getting high volumes of sales; so he can now say that since DTD was put into effect his sales has gone up.
Also for people that forget what email they have used I always input my detail into the price check page then do a print out of that page before clicking the submit button and then attach my receipt to that page. That way I can see what is pending.
In the last few shop’s I have made no one has sign my receipts at my store so I come home and put them in the paper shredder. I would never reuse them as they do have CT TV and all receipt have date and time. So they can easy track you and to me this is fraud.

Slight OT, but I have always wondered what Tesco did with the Coop or other retailer vouchers that they accept from competitors - I have visions of either Tesco sending them over to Coop (as part of some cartel-type agreement) for a refund or people in Tesco's who have the sole job of going in to Coop to use the vouchers to try to recover some of this. That said, I am sure that it is something more mundane and they are simply collected together, signed off and binned!

When they used to accept any vouchers as long as they stocked the item, then clearly although you may not have bought it, they would know from their sales figures that someone had and be able to recover the redeemed amount from the manufacturer. With this current promotion it is likely the head office (or store) marketing budget taking a hit.

What this exercise has demonstrated to me so far is that they change their prices regularly so that many items are stupidly over priced, generally before a promotion to give the illusion of a saving (not just Tesco, all supermarkets are at it), they build in significant profit margins as clearly some daft people never check prices anyway (judging by some of the trolleys I have seen when out!), and that retailers and manufacturers are in cahoots on promotions which I had not noticed as much before, so if it has been on promotion in one supermarket it is likely to go on one in another as well. Both Asda and Tesco also seem to have some prices that are sometimes lower (with not comment/rollback or whatever) that they put up before then claiming a price reduction and if it is on the shelf as price matched with a competitor, check the prices of the other pack sizes as chances are they will be cheaper!

Haha. :rotfl: If you are so honest, why not go to Customer Services and tell them that you will be buying 'a list of items' that are cheaper in Asda, so you can get all your money back.

I am playing clever within the rules. What rule am I breaking?

Many of you including dtdsearcher must take responsibility if you are caught with your daily vouchers. Remember you hungry wolves ARE breaking rules and if you get caught, you have no excuse.
