How much 'real money' are people spending on shopping now?
I'm trying to incorporate as much non dtd stuff with good return dtd stuff as poss to limit pennies coming out of my pocket but I can't do enough shops to cover it all!
I'm reckoning £15 a week for my family of 4 should be enough for a top up shop and the bits and pieces over my voucher...what about everyone else?
If my words are missing letters then please excuse me....my keyboard is a tad dodgy!!

Went into my local store this morning before work, feeling a bit down as all the best DTD items have been sold out recently.

Did my usual lap of the store, just to check (its a figure of 8 between toothbrushes, lamb and wine).

AND GUESS WHAT! They'd kindly (or stupidly) restocked the Rack of Lambs!! After bashing a few Grannies out of my way, I ruthlessly took all 4 for myself (and the last toothbrush)

Think I'm gonna be on a high for the rest of the day!

Apologies to anyone shopping in my local...

I haven't seen any racks of lamb for a while in my store, either they have stopped stocking them or people are grabbing them as soon as they are stocked.

I noticed yesterday the finest pizza had been cleared off the shelves I was really  when I saw that. And only one finest chorizo left. I need to get to my store earlier I think. :rotfl:

Morning everyone - just checked the spreadsheet and thebeef is still showing - wanted to get one today. However, I have just checked the Asda site and can'f find beef at £4 per Kg. The only ones I can see are £8.48 per kg - same as Mr T. Be careful the beef may have finished, unless someone can point me in the direction of the Asda one we are comparing it to? Thanks everyone

Did it ever show on Mr A?

hi im new to this dtd thing i got my first voucher £14.82 :) which im going to use today hope i don't have any problems

well done on your voucher, good luck spending it.

buy some more DTD stuff and try and get that voucher to max amount.

make a list, include a few emergency items incase something is out of stock and stick to it.

Dont get stuck into the supermarkets marketing tactics and pick up things because 'thats cheap'
Clearly they [Tesco] found it hard to make a promise they couldn't keep." Asda Spokesperson.

I say Tesco found it EASY to make promises it still cannot keep.

Or camp beside the aisle and wait for them to be replenished? :rotfl:
