Whats with all this 'people like you'? all of a sudden. Its offensive and unnecessary. You don't agree with what some people feel is acceptable, you've made your point so let it go for tonight. What I choose to do is absolutely none of your business. You live your life the way you want to and stop trying to dictate to everyone else. I don't necessarily agree with what some poeple choose to do with this promotion but I don't feel the need to bang on about it all the time.
works both ways yet again. you want me to stop yet your tying to do it .. dont think so...0 -
To Whom I can complain:?
My experience today at other shop:
I had enormously unpleasant experience I had today at the customer service desk in Tesco ......... Extra, around 19:30 after I made my shopping and was overcharged for the 4 bottles of ARIEL EXCEL GEL WITH FEBREZE 18 WASH/667ML. I paid £4.50 for each of them at the counter however the shelf price was £3. For this reason I went to CS desk and told about the overcharge.
The CS assistant sent a colleague to get the price tag from the shelf and when she was back she gave me £3. I pointed out that I had bought 4 bottles of them not one, and she had my receipt in front of her. Then she said she has to call a duty manager because I was often seen here with overcharged items.
And then she asked me why I had bought 4 bottles? Why so many at once?
Because I do a lot of washing!?!
Let me ask you: is there a limit of items you can buy these days? It was a good price I thought therefore I bought more at once for the future. I didn’t have much money with me then, but if I had I could have bought a full trolley if I wanted. Do I have to ask Tesco permission to buy more then one?!
I was gutted at this point how she dared to tell me that I was coming here a lot with overcharged queries. It is Tesco who is misleading customers with the wrong prices. How many people were buying this item without even realising they’d been overcharged? Why should I be mistreated and interrogated by Tesco staff if I noticed Tesco’s mistake when I paid for my shopping?
So in other words what the assistant meant was that Tesco can trick you and steal your money as many times as it likes but you can come and query this once, not too often, otherwise there is a problem.
Eventually the duty manager came and asked me the same question: why did I buy 4 bottles exactly? I had to repeat all over again. I also added that I didn’t know that Tesco has a limited number of items that you are allowed to buy; apologised for coming over to CS desk so often to enquiry about the items that Tesco overcharged me again.
In these days we all try to save some money and I do check my receipt after I’ve done my shopping. And I do this thoroughly only because I and friends of mine have been overcharged a number of times.
After all this hassle and abusive behaviour from both CS assistant and the duty manager I finally got my money back but I was told that I would be watched. Is it me who did something wrong? How dare they say that to me in front of other people who stood in the queue behind me? What kind of customer service is that? I had been overcharged by Tesco, then accused of buying too much stuff as well as coming to the CS desk too often for the same reason.
I am very disappointed and upset with the way I was treated today. Therefore I will request a full apology from the CS assistant and the duty manager, because they had no right to abuse me like this and treat me like I was the villain here. Actually they should have thanked me that I came across with this issue so that they corrected the pricing and improved their reputation on labelling.0 -
Let's end all this bickering. It's doing my head in! We all have to live with our consciences and do what we think is right which, for me, is using this up to the maximum £100 per month. I have had £50 worth of vouchers so far. Some people will think that I am stupid but each person has to live with him/herself. So no more arguing please.0

Look at it this way :
Your DTD voucher has a value printed on it -once a DTD voucher has been 'used' ie presented as payment for your shopping , it no longer has any value - its dead. You cannot present it again as payment for another shop because it no longer has a value - its a useless piece of paper JUST LIKE A FORGED £20 note!
not true.. the voucher has NO value.. and a twenty pound note does.
either way its a breech of terms and nothing illegal.0 -
I have to say I felt a bit like Derren Brown tonight with my CS - £20ish spend, he scanned the voucher, looked blank, I said "oh, you just need to input the amount and sign my receipt", he did so and asked me for 7p to make up the difference for a £20 shop. All without blinking, almost as though I had hypnotized him!
Looking in people's trolleys and baskets (I am sure someone is going to thump me at some point!) few had signs of DTD shopping, so I am sure that although its big on here, it is not as widespread as some may believe - I have mentioned it to family and over one week on not one has bothered and they live much closer to Tesco than me. Most people won't even know about it, or vaguely hear it on the advert but then don't bother.
Anon
i always look in people baskets toonever really see anyone with pancake mix
always full stock in from the list also so cant really see many round here doing it... sometimes wonder if its a good thinig or not.. as with not many they will remember me bringing them but means more stock lol

Its time you went to bed - you've had a poke at a number of people and its time you packed it in. You don't appear to understand common sense and its a waste of time trying to discuss anything with you cos you are stuck in a mind set. Pity about that.ELITE 5:2

I think you are right. There are very few who are doing this. Some think you are saving a few pence and can't be bothered, but there are those of us who are making ££££££££'s
I have mentioned DTD to my family and friends several times and only my daughter and three of my friends are doing this. Everyone else cannot be bothered even when they see the food in my home! I have a quick look in fellow shoppers baskets and trolleys and I see no evidence in any of the stores I use of people doing DTD shops. Now debt free and working towards saving my 1st £1000!0 -

I have introduced my brother to dtd'ing, it took a while but we have got their. He has got his friend into it in the last few days but neither has a printer so I print off their vouchers and they come and get them. Tonight they arrived to collect their vouchers with a little treat for me and a bunch of flowers for helping them.Ahhh, it made my night!!! Mind you they do phone me up in blind panic when their in T's and they are stuck for something to make up their voucher. They do make me laugh as the both walk around T's dress in Hi Viz gear as they go straight from work, hardly inconspicuous!!!!Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0
