hello peeps just had an horrendous experience at the glynde gap store in bexhill, had my shopping put thru till and produced my voucher, young lad says" i need to call my manager" who comes over takes one look at the voucher and literally shouts " we cant take that there is a scam going on" everybody in the que and at the nearby tills turns and looks at me! I said i can assure you this voucher is legitimate and she marchs me to the cs desk and continues to tell me in a very loud voice with people staring as they walk past that the scam is people are deliberatly targeting stuff that they know is cheaper in asda and that theyve had one person in every day doing it (mymerrywidow hope it wasnt you that got the same treatment this afternoon) and that you cant use a reciept that has already been paid with a voucher. so i tell her that i havent broken the t&c and to call head office, she tries and says she cant get through then tells me theyve had to alert the other stores of the scam. after much deliberation and me refuseing to budge on the fact that i am not a scammer she eventually puts my shopping through on a recalled transaction and signs my new reciept  so i drive to the next store fuming use my other voucher with no problems then get home fone the bexhill store and get her name ready to complain tomoro. phew feel better for a rant :D what a complete trout she had no idea what she was talking about

There are several people on here, who have all been long standing and worthwhile intelligent contributors to this thread, who are currently a little tired and grumpy from all tbe work they have ben putting in on this (and who knows what else is going on in ther lives) and who are just kicking off against each other becasue there is a lull in the thread. One or two of you clearly have v high IQs but need to learn to be a bit more kind to others and recognise the value of learning from other's experience ( recognise the phenomenon from deeply personal experience) .

For goodness' sake! Stop taking the cheap shots and be bigger people than this. You all have something worthwhile to learn from each other - and arrogance and snipeyness is deeply unattractive.

Just who are you taking on here -Mr T or each other? Focus!

Not sure if that was aimed at me for my post in bold - but I was only having a joke. If I've said anything. Apologies. If it isn't me Apologies for Apologising. ;):D

Feel really sorry for you. I feel an apology and a gift voucher on the way. After my experience on Sunday I know exactly what you felt like. However as you say, it is the minority of staff, who sadly forget that you are the Customer and YOU pay their wages - well usually anyway!! ;)

Why do people feel the need to alter text size, font and colour for regular posts.

Many thanks for everyones hard work! This is great fun!!! First time i've ever gone to Tescos and banned my husband from looking at bargains! Ha ha - he didn't know what was going on.

I bought 750ml Leffe today - SEL said £3.49, £3.00 through the till - still a dtd but not as good.

Sorry if it's been answered, but has anyone had any problems with using vouchers with a higher value than the original receipt?

Just thinking of picking up a toothbrush for dd tomorrow if it still works, DTD should be £16 for a £10 spend. Or should I buy something else too?
