Railway to start running freight trains past my home.........

Hi All I've found out that the railway that runs along the bottom of my garden is gearing up to run freight trains - probably overnight. :eek: Currently, it's a rural line that runs two trains an hour from 6am to midnight during the week and half that on the weekend. The amount of noise you'll get from the passing freight trains will depend on lots of factors so until you've heard one you can't really complain, generally the loco makes most of the noise but these are gradually getting quieter and quieter!

The letter you've received about the upgrade works is a purely standard letter for when NR do work that may be disruptive through the night. Although you've found information saying they might run freight trains, this is purely co-incidental most likely, they're always doing feasibility studies etc!
