There seems to be a wide range of prices and options on ethernet cables for sale. I need one that is about 20 -30m. Are there any that are very reliable or best avoided? (eg Amazon has some at under £10 and others at nearly £20; diff makes). Running it off a Speedtouch router/modem to my laptop and don't want to do it wirelessly.
Thank you for any help.

If it says cat5 or cat6, it should all be the same standard.
cat5 is ok for 100Mb/s..

My home is wired upstairs and downstairs with cat5 to five locations and I have used the cheapest cable I can get without any problems0

Does a cat 5 mean slower surfing than a cat 6 then or not much diff? Sounds like I should go for the cheapest one.
