Selling through Ebay
Comments
-
If you are selling expensive items on eBay I would suggest sending the item by recorded delivery. This way you are protected from liars who say they did not receive the item. You might also want to consider selling via Amazon; however their fees are a lot more than eBay’s.
The problem is recorded rarely tracks so it is a waste of 77p a go as far as a seller is concerned. If you think everyone is out to get you then any form of online selling is probably a bad idea.
OP details of postage and seller protection is here:

Wow thanks for all the replies! My stock only retails at £3.50 per item, and light to send, so I hope that it won't be worthwhile to any scammers etc, and my customers are generally pagan / new age types who are mostly lovely!
Hammyman your post made me laugh! As a fairly new business I'm still quite happy to put 110% effort into the smallest sale so I don't mind answering a few questions. This enthusiasm may well wear off, of course.
My plan is to list a few things on my personal ebay account and see how they go. Then set up an ebay account as my business, and if that works maybe look at a shop. I know I shouldnt reall sell as a private seller, but I thought just for the first few things it would be okay.
Also coolmint thanks for those tips - I'll copy and paste for future reference0
