Do I need legal protection on my car insurance?

Options
The only help offered online is " This means we will help you if you have an accident that is not your fault, by working on your behalf to recover things not covered by your policy, e.g. accidental damage to your car if you only have Third Party, Fire & Theft cover. "

I'm getting comprehansive, so should I pay the extra £30 for this cover please?

  • My Missus is a Barrister, and she insists that we have this cover in both cars and the house insurance.
She does a fair bit of contested road traffic accidents where both parties insist the other is at fault. One of these cases, particulary if it's a compex one will cost in excess of a £1000. If you haven't got the legal cover, there is more chance you will find that your insurance company will admit liability and you lose the claim.

I gratefully had this protection when I was shunted from behind, the excuses the other driver used were astounding. Not only did legal protection help me but my representative claimed £ for my whiplash injuries which I have since learn to appreciate

  • I would recommend it.

Solicitors along with facilities to have a courtesy vehicle if the accident is non fault.

I had a no fault accident a year ago and the 3rd party would not admit liability eventhough she knew she was in the wrong!
without legal assistance i would have had lots of paperwork and wouldnt have got any unisured losses paid!
    Highly recommend you get it!
