Hello clever people
I have a stainless steel saucepan (Stellar 7000).
I can never get it clean.
It's worse after using it to heat up milk or for poaching eggs.
I've had enough.
What can I use to clean it properly?
Thanks.

I wonder why you can't get it clean after heating up milk? My pans just need a soak in cold water and then I could give it a wipe with a cloth if I wanted to.
If they're nor coming properly clean after a soak and a scrub with one of those dishcleaning brushes I'd give it go with a Brillo pad0 -
Hi,
Boiling water and soda crystals.
Hope this helps!0 -
I bet you run cold water into the pan after heating milk? dont! this 'sets' the milk and makes it harder to clean off. 40 odd years ago my cookery teacher taught us to run HOT water into it or turn the pan upside down to keep the heat in (it softens the milky residue). brillo pads are great or you can run hot water into them and a teaspoon of soda crystals. should clean off easily then.0

Thanks for the replies.
I'm thinking that a Brillo pad would scratch the surface too much?
I will try the Soda Crystals tip first, I think.0 -
Hi
Try a mixture of lemon juice and washing up liquid.Sealed Pot Challenge No 089-Finally got a signature.:rotfl::j0 -
Stainless steel pans are great because you can just scrub them with wire wool. This is what I do with all my stainless steel pans and they come out nice and shiny again.

I burnt cheese sauce in mine...Cillit Bang lifted the black burnt coating. Squirt on before you go to work, and the majority will have bubbled up by the time you get home. Mine needed 3 treatments
