Dishwasher kaput - repair or replace

Absolute domestic disaster struck yesterday when the dishwasher refused to dishwash.
Its quite old, about 10 yrs, I think it was put in with the kitchen by the previous owners.
So I'm wondering if its worth getting it repaired (might cost a lot and then its old so might breakdown again soon) or replace it (seems to be about £350 for an installed Kenwood from Currys).
Any thoughts on the matter?
Thanks.

What is exactly wrong with it? If its a minor fault, fix it, if major, then maybe worth reinvesting.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

This is the thing. The error message indicates a leak, but there isnt one.
So I dont know how much it might cost to fix until I call out an engineer.... and that going to cost a fair bit straight off, which will be money wasted if its then a replacement job.....Mortgage debt - [STRIKE]£8,811.47 [/STRIKE] Paid off!0 -

Sounds like a possible electronic fault, which could be expensive, if its ten years old, i would get a new one, a freestanding Bosch with 5 yr guarantee, looking at about £380.0 -
Treat yourself to a new one missus. 10 years old, let it die a dignified death:Dmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Underneath there will be a switch , ours (hotpoint ) has a polystyrene ball attached to a switch , if you do have a leak the water makes the ball rise and triggers the switch.
You can reset most error codes , with ours you hold down the start button and the end button.
If you don`t want to open the bottom cover you can try tipping the machine back and that should disengage the switch whilst resetting it.0 -
I couldn't live without my dishwasher, but I couldn't afford a new one so I spent a saturday going through the admag and managed to pick up a bosch which was barely used from a retired couple who spent 6 months in the USA every year and were now emigrating! cost me 80 quid and the cost of diesel to pick it up, bargain! it's at least worth a look :-) good luck0
