Where to sell a fridge?

Hi everyone,
Would like some advise on where to sell a fridge.
We are going to take a few pictures and put some posters up at work.
Have thought about ebay, but due to weight we thought it would not get much interest.
Do second hand electrical appliances get much interest for online sales?
Many thanks,

Large 'collection only' items have a very limited audience on ebay really, so if you do it as an auction, and dont get many bids, you may be selling for peanuts.
If you are taking photos of it, print a couple of small photos and stick it on a postcard with description and put it in a local shop, Morrisons, Wilkos etc. Its always the ones with photos on that look appealing as potential buyers can see what its like before calling you. Ive recently sucessfully sold a bunk bed, Tv cabinet, wardrobe and chest of drawers this way.
Theres also the ad-mags too, which are free to advertise in, if you have one in your area.
They may try to haggle abit, but at least you dont have ebay or paypal fees to take off the price, and you can decide if you want to ccpet the offer or not!0 -
I've sold a fridge on ebay. For next to nothing but it saved us disposing of it. Plus we thought it was a shame to bin it when someone could get a few more years out of it.
Make sure they pay cash on collection to protect yourself from scammers.0 -
I put mine in the local paper & could have sold it 5 times over.0

Put mine on Gumtree and it sold in 20 minutes:)0

Have 'watched' fridges an ebay but they all went for more than I wanted to pay. Obviously it depends on age, condition etc. Unless you live in the Outer Hebrides I'd give it a go. (Have a look at items which have ended to get an idea too.)0

+1 for Gumtree, the best site for large collection items.0
