Normally I get a slap when I bring this theory up in drunken conversation. I wont bore you with my 'Why men have to play away from home' dit...........(never had an electronic slap!)

Ok then.....The reason why a man has to 'bang out of watch' (Naval expression!) is that it is in his genes. The male of the species has an uncontrollable urge to spread his seed. Again it goes back to the animal knigdom and indeed animal instinct. Look a lion - he will quite often have several female partners and sometimes venture out of the 'Hareem' and pull another lioness. That's why I believe that when a man is sorry for an indiscretion he is genuinely confused and sorry of course - because he cant explain it. Yes/No?

I think 'Mature' is more of an appropriate term.
